We are very glad to inform you that the Asian Culture Center in Gwangju Metropolitan City is holding the 2021 ACC International Academic Conference on Asian Culture Research from November 25 to 26, 2021.
The Asian Culture Center, which opened in November 2015, is an international arts institution and the largest complex culture and art institution in Asia and reinforces national cultural competence and produces future-oriented new outcomes through research, exchange and creation, production, etc.
Gwangju, where the Asia Culture Center is located, is a city with diverse cultural heritages and the spiritual values of democracy, human rights, and peace. The Korean government has been developing Gwangju as an Asian culture hub since 2004, and the city is developing as a local community pursuing cultural diversity.
The Asian Culture Center has prepared a place for exchanges between researchers and creators and played an important role in understanding, creating, and spreading Asian culture and arts by holding an international academic conference where well-known Asian researchers and citizens meet since 2015.
Through this academic conference, we would like to prepare an opportunity to forecast and prepare for the future unfolding by looking at the past of Asia, the change in the Asian culture has made in the turning point of an age that represent socio-culturally such as COVID-19, the Anthropocene, climate crisis, technological changes, human rights, gender equality, immigrant refugees, etc. At the same time, we would like to invite you to discuss the strategy of Asia in response to such changes in each field.
In this academic conference, we will provide various programs such as viewing representative contents, a next-generation round table, etc. along with the international symposium. Together with this invitation, we will inform you of the matters required for this academic event.
