Watch and join The 16th Korean Speaking Contest on 11 December (Saturday) 2021 at Dewan Perdana, FSSK Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and was held by Korean Language and Culture in Malaysian perspective.

Date & Venue

Final Round: 

1st December 2021 (Saturday, 9:00 am - 12.30 pm)

Venue:

  1. Dewan Perdana, FSSK, Universiti Kobangsaan Malaysia, and
  2. Online session through Zoom (live)

Submission deadline: 

24th November 2021 (Wednesday) 

Online interview: 

27th November (Saturday) ~ 30 November 2021 (Tuesday)

Eligibility 

  1. The contest is open to only Malaysians whose mother tongue (or first language) is not Korean
  2. The following persons are not eligible to participate in the contest:
    • Have lived or studied in Korea for more than six (6) months; and/ or
    • Grand or First Prize winners of similar contests held in 2019 ar 2020; and/ or
    • Have participated in any similar Korean speech contest held in Malaysia for the year 2021

Topics and Evaluation

  1. My personal tips for learning the Korean language
  2. The most interesting cultural similarities/ differences between Korea and Malaysia
  3. My ideas on ways to enhance collaboration between Korea and Malaysia
    1. Speeches shall not exceed five (5) minutes and shall be made extemporaneously
    2. Evaluation Criteria
      • Content and organization
      • Pronunciation and fluency
      • Grammar and vocabulary
      • Stage presentation

Round-trip air ticket to Korea & Korean Language Class Scholarship (1 semester) at Sogang University

(Eu-tteum Girim) for each level:

Samsung Tablet & Korean Language Class Scholarship (2 weeks) at Hanyang University

(Do-dum Girim, 2 persons):

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 & Korean Language Class Scholarship (3 weeks) at Ewha Woman's University, Seoul National University
