Korean Cultural Centre India, Embassy of the Republic of Korea, invites all Indian school students to participate in the biggest quiz of the year “The 7th Korea-India Friendship Quiz 2022”. It aims to spread awareness about Korea and its diverse facets among school students, leading to a greater understanding of the nation, its people, and its interaction with India over the years.
The questions will focus on various interesting aspects of Korea, including the following:
- People of Korea, history & culture, traditions, arts & literature, science & technology, entertainment, sporting achievements, education, famous personalities, events.
- Land & geography, natural resources & heritage, wildlife & nature, travel attractions & tourist destinations, cuisine & food culture International relations, current affairs, ties and links with India: people-to-people, cultural, diplomatic, commercial, educational
COMPETITION STRUCTURE
Round 1– Individual-level online tests on quiz website (1st March to 15th April 2022)
Round 2 –State Level quizzes on videoconference (27th April to 29th April 2022)
Round 3 –National level quiz in Delhi (12th May 2022)
Round 1 – Individual-level online tests on quiz website
- Across India, schools are being invited to register students for this exciting National level offline quiz.
- The online quiz will be held from 1st March to 15th April 2022
- Students need to register at www.koreaindiaquiz2022.com and take the preliminary quiz there.
Guidelines
- The student should be a regular school student.
- Every student will get only 1 attempt at the test.
- There will be 30 questions.
- The test will be for15 minutes (900 seconds) and will consist of multiple-choice, written, and image questions.
- 2 students with the highest score in the shortest time will be declared the winner in each state and will qualify for the state quiz round.
- The online quiz will be open for participation from 1st March to 15th April 2022.
Winners
- Every student who completes the online quiz will receive a digital Certificate of Participation.
- The school with the maximum number of participants within each city will win a Special Plaque from Korean Culture Centre India along with a personalized letter
Round 2 State Level quizzes on videoconference
The top 2 scorers in each state preliminary test will be invited to join the meeting for the State Round.
Guidelines
- An online meeting will be set up, and the students should enter the meeting room at the prescribed date and time.
- They will be given a set of 25 questions, which would be displayed, one by one, on the screen and participants will be requested to give the answer.
- The detailed guideline will be provided to the participants for round 2 in advance.
- 2 students from every zone will be invited for the national quiz rounds
- The state quizzes will be held from 27th April to 29th April 2022 according to zones.
Winners
- All 2 State Champions will be awarded a cash prize of INR 3000 and 2000 respectively along with a digital certificate of merit.
- 2 champions from each zone will qualify for the national round

Round 3 - National level offline quiz in Delhi
- The National Finale will be held on 12 May 2022
- The 10 winners of the zonal quiz will be invited to Delhi for the title of “National Champion”.
- Airplane round tickets and 1-day hotel accommodation will be provided to the contestant and 1 guardian by KCCI.
- The national finale will be held in a Delhi auditorium.
- Detailed guidelines regarding the nationals will be announced later.
- At the end of the quiz, the 3 students with the highest scores will be adjudged the National Champions.
Winners
- The winner will be awarded a cash prize of INR 2,00,000.
- The runner-up will be awarded INR 1,50,000.
- The 2ndrunner-up (3rd rank) will be awarded INR 1,00,000.
- All 10 zonal champions will win INR 10,000 each along with Certificates of Honor and KCCI Membership for 2 years.
